Practice makes perfect. For the first time (and much to the relief of my family) I finally left my camera behind and used my phone over Christmas. I have developed a good system to transfer the photographs from it to these pages easily. I also have reacquainted myself with updating these pages, which were designed last June. Writing this page is a dress rehearsal for the next pages.

A range of climates and weather is ahead of us as our path yo-yos from 35°S to 45°S to 25°S; equating to between the Canaries and the North of Spain in the Northern hemisphere. But the geography is very different so our watchword is, you guessed it, "layers".

Checked and rechecked the paperwork. We have a final call with Audleys this week.

Keep calm and eat everything in the freezer.

I hope to use more iconography this year.
