Right off the bat we noticed things floating down the river this morning. The ferry was dodging stuff, mainly branches and patches of vegetation. The amount of wood in the river was increasing by the minute. They stopped the ferry. We crossed the river to get to the The Queensland Art Gallery, a treasure trove of creativity and culture. Holds a mix of historical, modern, and contemporary art. We went in and wow!

Every room, different. Breathtaking rooms and individual pieces of all shapes, sizes and genres. Often mixed together within the same room or space. Water features a lot to divide the rooms and guide you through the gallery. It was exceptionally good to have the place to ourselves, two other visitors and the guards.

Came back to the same Bibimbap shop for the same spicy beef and chicken and cashew nut yum yum. We booked an escape room with a wild west theme. Yes we escaped but we were not inspired to book again at that venue. The room relied on the games master activating things when the considered we had accomplished the tasks. Not quite what we were used to and it threw us off a bit.

Only showers today as we walked around, but the occasional heavy stuff kept us on our toes and we were both armed with brollies by now. Back at the ranch we booked another room, this time the theme was wine which is quite unusual. This room was in the all time top twenty. A huge revolving wall and cranking the fireplace open to crawl behind it. We escaped with seconds to spare.

Very strange sort of end to this holiday. We had spent two nights everywhere up to now and tonight is our sixth here. What an amazing city this is. We can see that now it is starting to open and move again. At the moment the streets are covered in small branches, and water is flowing here and there but it does seem to be all right again now. Liz went to the Botanicals again today to report back with a photo. No major falling overs, but lots of bits and bobs.

Eager for more escapes we have booked for tomorrow morning. Then we have the ultimate escape chez Emirates.

Refrigerator is becoming empty as I write. Weird caramelised French Onions purporting to be humus find themselves in the bin.

You know when you think you see faces in things? Like these plug sockets. Geisha, several robots, scary, Panda, Panda 180. What on earth is that about and why is our Great British plug not among the funny ones? Eh? And if you wonder about the difference of Type N (Brasil) and Type J (Switzerland and Liechtenstein) The J has the grounding pin slightly offset. Almost time to pull the plug on my blog, back tomorrow from the lobby of the hotel. Let the packing begin!
