Are you sitting comfortably?

Nimbostratus in the morning, tourist's forewarning. Indeed a message from Audley last night said we were to be contacted by their man and indeed we were. He was suggesting we pack up and move out to Brisbane immediately. It seemed like a very good idea, and so I write this having recently checked in at our last apartment of this glorious holiday.

Zephyrs are strenthening and the hotel is expecting to be hit on Thursday night to Friday Morning. Things are shutting down as I write. This hotel is a very large and strong stone building. The basement level 3 car park is closed. Such a shame as I was just starting to relax a little and warm to the poolside life style. Noosa was a wonderful place, brilliant balcony, apartment, pool, town and vibe, but we think being here in Brisbane ahead of the problems will give us a good chance of catching our flight home on Sunday.

Arrivederci Mazzy, abbellisci l'automobile ti amiamo grazie per le avventure. Ciao Bella. 💖

Counted 2,002 Kilometers we did together!

Some signs on the Bruce Motorway tickled Liz: 'If it's flooded, forget it'. 'Your car does not protect you from water'. 'People of QLD prepare for severe weather'.

Quintessentially Aussie; to the point.

Ultraconvenient supermacardo next door. They will be learning what sells and what doesn't over the next couple of days. For example, you can not find a croissant but you can find a six pack Mocha With Old Gold Dark Chocolate Chips Hot Cross Bun. The only sparkling water you can find has a twist of lime.

Aboriginal people have lived in Brisbane for at least 22,000 years. So far we have had no encounters or tours or otherwise, regarding this. Perhaps we may have the time to uncover some of it. Occasionally when arriving at a deserted beach, as we have done many times, I might try to imagine how I would survive in this environ, as did those elders. It is a big ask, especially here where the huge 8 lane bridges span the river and have skyscrapers counterbalancing them at either end.

Ran down to the riverbank where the ambience is a delight. Seats of all sorts facing the water, some quiet places, some with music coming from the lamp posts. Public conveniences so pristine and drinking water everywhere.

Even sculptures to explore, tomorrow.
