To Christchurch

Tell you about SUNO, an AI website which makes songs from your lyrics. After I posted yesterday I spent some time with it and later in the day I amended yesterday's post, if you missed it, do pop back and have a listen if you like. You should find an icon or play button somewhere.

Rain all night, heavy rain on the roof, like a drum, quite enjoyed it. Then in the morning fresh clean air and clouds rolling around below the mountains and in the valleys. For the last time I washed Mazzy's windows, softly today, with warm soapy water and love and we packed our stuff into the boot and set off on a short trip to Greymouth.

Along the way we stopped at Hokitika, which has a West beach. West beaches are desolate, rough and covered with drift wood for as far as the eye can see, in both directions. Huge installations there are everywhere. It seems all the pieces have fallen into place. The difficult questions, resolved. I embarked on a journey in the dark and over a short time found myself here, at the centre of and teaming with, installations. An amalgamated copy and paste world where the individual is nothing but the collective whole is a stunning reality show.

Carrying on we arrived in good time for our train The Tranz Alpine Train coast to coast to Christchurch. We said goodbye to our travelling companion of three weeks. The cheerful staff at Budget took Mazzy away for a spruce up, a wonderful car for us.

Keep safe out there Mazzy x. Currently sitting on the train which is now moving out of Arthur's Pass having picked up a few passengers. The next section is the most stunning. The rails cling to sheer drops and cross viaducts over 70 meters high and all the while views spill out in all directions as the carriage turns. The highlight is when we go through the longest tunnel! Then all of a sudden pop out into the most flattest region of NZ, Cantabury Plain. We slow down gradually and stop without drama at Christchurch Station, nicely met by a man with a car from Audley!

Scott and Virgil came with us safely in the caboose and we are now settled into our last apartment in NZ, seems to be very near the middle of town. We have Wednesday and Thursday here (sort of). We have to leave here at 3am Friday morning, which may impact our activities on Thursday.
