Wellington

Spotted our apartment from way down below.

And then we saved the Mayans from a fate worse than death. The escape room was World class, we went back for another almost straight away. Thwarting an alien invasion.

Nice to have some time off, chilaxing.

Dinner Indian style, also for a second time.

Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, is a vibrant and picturesque destination known for its stunning harbor, rolling hills, and rich cultural scene. (Any AI will tell you that much). So I ask 'tell me when it was founded'? It was founded by European settlers in 1839. The first settler ship, the Aurora, arrived at Petone to establish the settlement that would become Wellington. The city was named after Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington.

Innocently I ask 'why does it have so many hills'? Co-Pilot replies: Wellington's hilly terrain is a result of its geological history. The city is located on the southern tip of New Zealand's North Island, where the Pacific and Australian tectonic plates meet. This tectonic activity has shaped the landscape over millions of years, creating the rugged hills and valleys that characterize Wellington today. The hills also contribute to the city's unique charm and provide stunning vantage points for panoramic views of the harbor and surrounding areas. It's a city where nature and urban life coexist beautifully.

Crumbs. I could be out of a job if I am not careful.

Hobbit - Unexpected Journey, revisited and watched first bit and it was quite an eye opener having seen a lot of behind the scenes stuff over the last few days. Of course we are off tomorrow on an expected journey, the fearsome ferry to South Island awaits us and the Mazda. Only three weeks to go until our holiday in Australia.
