Facing a fourth French I tried an off-beat line Steiner-Tartakower, Budapest 1929. I think it works well as the resulting position is nothing like a typical French set up. 11. Qd1 is where my book ran out. But after 13...c6 the black N is a good piece and I have no control of the center, just an IQP.

26.f3 looks horrible to me now. It also seems to have taken a lot of calculation which Stockfish simply laughs at. I realise this and 28.Bf6 is just showboating a few last moves. Black takes it without a care in the world.
