Cliff was probably the strongest in the final but used it to experiment and finished with about 50%. In this game I borrowed a book from Southport CC and it was very useful.

I was unduely worried about 13...Bxb4 14.Rxa8 Qxa8 15.Ng5 so I play conservatively and hope the control of the a file is not significant.

After 20...Ra1 Black has activity with Na5 and sometimes simplification leading to Nxh3 (or e2) exploiting a pin on the Bf1 against the Rg1.
